Stress management in a selected company

The thesis deals with the issue of stress and stress management in a selected organization. The aim of the thesis is to examine the stress factors and the impact of stress in the selected organization, including suggestions for changes in the current stress management in the organization. The sub-objectives of this thesis were to find out how the employees handle stress, how they approach stress management and also how they prevent stress and to recommend solutions if deficiencies are found. Based on this information, recommendations and suggestions were made to improve the current issues in the selected organization. For all the suggestions and recommendations, financial costing of the cases were graphically made. From the results, it is evident that the respondents are aware of the dangers of stress and burnout, irregular diet or lack of relaxation techniques, but do not practice any of these and do not actively address them. Therefore, I recommend assistance in implementing changes from the company and management, whether it be more emphasis on creating separate and enclosed spaces in the offices or other methods aimed at creating places of calm. The stated aim of the thesis has been fulfilled and its contribution to practice can be considered significant if the promising chance of using some of the proposals in the offices of OVB Allfinanz a. s. in České Budějovice turns into reality.
Time Managament of Financial Advisor

This bachelor thesis focuses on time management of financial advisors. The main aim of this thesis is to characterize the current approach to time management among selected financial advisors. A partial goal is to propose own suggestions and recommendations that lead to improve time management. The thesis acquaints with basic principle of time management, time efficiency and other points. For example, using time management tools. The thesis performs an analysis of the current status of financial advisors using a questionnaire survey. Also, it compares theoretical knowledge with the information obtained from the survey. The thesis examines directors, managers and also beginners in financial consulting. The bachelor thesis suggests possible improvements in the area of efficiency and time management. The results of the bachelor thesis are useful for financial advisors in their daily work and also help with time management of personal activities.
Prospects of Youngle People on the Labour Market

Family and reproductive behaviour shapes the outline of Czech Republic. Regime changes after 1989 certainly influenced the whole society. Critical changes in demographic behaviour need to be viewed in context of economic, social and cumtural changes in society. The purpose of this thesis is to explore perspectives of young adults, with an emphasis on exploring links between demographic behavious and on job market between 1989 and 2015. Thus this thesis should provide an answer to a question on how signifikance of influence of e.g. parenthood on career paths of youg people. To achieve this target, we used mainly publicly available data provided by Czech Statistical Bureau, interchangeably with data from Eurostat and basic statistical analysis.
The role of NGO's in the process of implementation of innovative projects, and their outcomes

The thesis addresses subject of innovative projects of NGOs in the field of parental support to return to the labour market after maternity leave. The main purpose of the thesis is to deliver a report about the role of the NGO in the process of implementation of innovative projects by using case studies. The objective of the thesis is to identify outcomes and level of innovation of these projects on the basis of testimonies of active participants. The theoretical part of the thesis describes NGOs and their basic functions, definition of innovation, and definition of social innovation. Another part of the thesis discusses issues related to the return to the labour market after maternity leave, family politics in the Czech Republic, and its support in the form of the Structural Funds of the European Union. Main findings of the research is that NGOs in the Czech Republic have mainly linking function between individuals and corporations. Networking enables mutual exchange of information and experience. It is a highly important contribution of these projects. Work-Life Balance and its influence to individuals' leisure time

This thesis explores the balance between work and personal life and its impact on individuals' leisure time. The first part begins with a discussion of the issues surrounding work-life balance and then focuses on the phenomenon of leisure and its importance in the lives of individuals. In order to contextualize this discussion, this thesis presents the relevant theories in the field and identifies their role in the development of leisure time in relation to work. Folowing part examines the concept of work-life balance in organizations and identify the different means of realization, such as flexible work arrangements and employee benefits. Also included is an empirical study that is carried out through a questionnaire survey. This investigation is focused on the influence of work and its aspects on leisure time and work-life balance of university-educated individuals who are currently employed. This empirical study should contribute to a better understanding of the relationship between work and personal life regarding individuals leisure time. Women on labor market

The objective of this thesis is to analyze and verify the existence of causality between employment rate, unemployment rate as independent variable and fertility rate as dependent variable. Two stated hypotheses are being verified within this thesis. First of them says that by decreasing employment rate also the fertility rate decreases. Second says that decreasing unemployment rate has an impact on growth of fertility rate. The final part of essay deals with today´s often discussed concept of work life balance which in many countries supports high economical activity of women and higher fertility simultaneously. It draws attention on positives of alternative work arrangements as well as on negatives and deficits which goes together with its practicing. In the end of the thesis different possibilities of effective work life balance management are suggested.
The Position of Women in Company Boards

This diploma thesis inspects the position of women in company boards. The gender equality in workplace has been a widely discussed topic during the last several years; nevertheless, the attention paid to women in leading positions remains significantly low, especially in the Czech Republic. The primary objective of this thesis is to identify and evaluate the position of women on company boards, and furthermore, to propose recommendations to ameliorate the discovered deficiencies. The theoretical part is based on the knowledge acquired from the scientific literature. The evaluation of the existing position of women in company boards is deducted from the qualitative research using semi-structured interviews with ten women from top management. These women are challenged by three fundamental barriers: work-life balance, lack of confidence and stereotypes. Due to the extensive scope of this topic, the recommendations shall be applied to three basic levels of authority: state, companies and individuals. The priority shall be put on the capacity of childcare facilities, the family-friendly oriented company policies and the personal development through mentoring and coaching.
Harmonization of family and professional life of women with small children living in Prague in 2015

This bachelor thesis focuses on of women´s harmonization of family and professional life. The theoretical part deals with the development and changes of the Czech society and family life after 1989, particularly with population development, household chang-es, women´s status in the labor market after 1989 and also labor market inequalities. The next section of the theoretical part addresses the return of women to the labour market at the end of parental leave. The chapter about harmonization of women´s family and professional life forms the main basis of the theoretical part. This part defines possible alternative instruments coming from states, employers and other providers of child care services assisting parents in reconciling their professional and parental responsibilities. The goal of the practical part was to determine differences in preferences, attitudes and opinions of women with different levels of education. The practical part examined whether university-educated mothers have a greater tendency to give priority to career over parental responsibilities than mothers with secondary or lower education. It also investigated whether university-educated women make greater use of instruments related to child care. The practical part is based on interview surveys and individual conversations. The established hypotheses have been verified and falsified based the analysis of research results. The conclusion proposes recommendations leading to im-provement of the deficiencies in the examined area.
Harmonization between work and family life of employed women and businesswomen

The aim of this thesis is to gather data within the harmonization proces between work and family life at addressed families where is the woman´s role either an employee or businesswoman. The theoretical part deals with aspects which help women with easier harmonization between two lifes areas - work and family. Specifically, this part deals with various forms of child care and types of financial support provided by the state. The thesis also solves the forms of flexible working hours, with emphasis on their current use across the European Union countries. The practical part is focused on mapping strategies in addressed families with a woman who is in labour-law relation and families with a businesswoman. For these purposes were chosen families (men and women) with which we were making inteviews and questionnaires focused on the time allocated to various tasks in one day.
Quality of working life in an international company.

The dissertation thesis is focused on the quality of working life, its detection, measurement and mainly improvement. The topic of the thesis is solved in international companies. There are two points of view to the problem. The first one is the side of employee, because from all the sources available are employees the most important one. The second point of view is the side of employer. In the theoretical part there are mentioned factors influencing the quality of working life: work life balance, diversity management, gender stereotypes, religiosity, discrimination etc. The environment of international companies was narrowed to the Czech - Italian companies. For a better understanding the environment there are described labour markets of both countries as well as there is a comparison of both countries in the context of international indicators. The pilot and main research as well were realized in the Czech - Italian companies. The aim of the research was to fulfil the objectives of the thesis as well as to answer to the research questions and hypotheses.
